Earth Day

Today is Earth Day! When I was younger that meant that my girl scout troop would go to some big gathering where we would get our face painted and play lots of fun games. What this holiday is actually celebrating though is our Earth and all the things that we can do to help preserve the wonderful things that we have because of it.

So what can we do to help the earth you might ask? Here are a few ideas:

- Recycle! Bottles, jars, paper - most of it can be reused or made into something else!

- If you can walk or bike instead of driving then do it! It saves not only oil but also our air.

- Don't litter. Throw your cigarette or gum wrapper in the garbage instead of on the ground.

- Take shorter showers.

- Use a refillable water bottle instead of plastic ones.

So lets see what we can do to help keep our earth beautiful!
