If you have a working dog that likes the snow (like husky's, malamutes, labs, etc), you can attach a sled to them and let you and them have fun. I have seen people have their dog pull their kids around on a sled. It is a great way for the kids, and dog to have fun while getting some of that extra energy out of both.
Just make sure that it is a dog that likes doing those sort of things. I would never attach a sled to Reese because he is terrified of anything. . . especially something big that is "following" him. Also Blossom is too small to pull heavy things around.
