When people hear my name they always seem to assume that I celebrate this holiday. That my family goes and gets drunk and party's through the night. In reality, even though my entire name is Irish, the only thing that we do is wear green (so we don't get pinched). Other than that, we don't drink, and we don't party.
To me this holiday is more about learning about the Irish heritage and what makes it special. There is more to Ireland and it's people than just drinking!
So have a good (and safe) St. Patrick's Day!
