Batman Day

Batman has been around since the late 1930's! He first started off in comics and most kids know him now from television or movies. So let us learn more about this super hero.

- Batman was created in May of 1939 by Bob Kane and Bill Finger for the Detective Comics #27.

-  Robin was originally planned to only appear in one issue, but the fans loved him so much that they kept him as Batmans sidekick.

- Batman has been in many different things; Comic strips, books, radio dramas, tv, and even on stage.

- Some milk cartons back in the 1950's had a batman mask cutout on the side of the container for when you drank all of your milk.

- There is a movie where Scooby Doo meets Batman and Robin.

- Batmans theme song is one of the most recognizable super hero intros.
